Micro-scale tissue models for human diseases and toxicology

Multi-organ systemic interactions, such as in microbiome-host crosstalk and metabolic diseases, epitomise the complexity of human physiology. This project seeks to overcome the engineering challenges of customising, synchronising and connecting multiple tissues in a flexible format to depict multi-organ interactions using modular microfluidics and advanced bio-fabrication technologies.
